How large will my image become?
The default is a 4× enlargement. Provider safety limits can round the exact dimensions slightly for very unusual sizes.
Does image enhancement invent details?
Real-ESRGAN reconstructs likely fine detail. It can improve texture and edges, but it cannot recover facts that were never visible in the original.
Which files can I use?
Upload JPG, PNG, or WebP files up to 20 MB. Large originals are resized locally before the request.
What format do I download?
The enhanced result downloads as a watermark-free PNG. Check the finished pixel dimensions because unusually large inputs can be rounded to provider-safe sizes.
What happens to my upload?
It exists only in request memory during processing and is not saved to our database or object storage. We keep only non-image operational metadata such as dimensions and status.
Can I use the upscaled image commercially?
Upscaling does not create new rights in an image. You must already have permission to use the original, and this tool does not grant a separate commercial license.
Will it fix unreadable text or a badly blurred face?
It can sharpen edges and reconstruct plausible texture, but it may guess wrong. Do not treat reconstructed text, faces, or tiny factual details as an exact recovery of the original.
